Everyone Should Be at the Table
At Messy Church, accessibility and inclusion are at the heart of our mission. Being Christ-centered means creating sacred space where everyone is welcomed, valued, and able to participate.
We recognize that accessibility looks different for different people. We also recognize that our building, programs, and website may have limitations. We rely on the experiences and feedback of our community to help us continually improve accessibility and inclusion for everyone.
Website Accessibility
We have made efforts to make our website accessible, including using legible, contrasting text against solid backgrounds.

Physical Accessibility
Our Messy Church gathering takes place in a large room, and all areas used for the event are accessible by ramp. Accessible parking is available.
Our building is an older facility, and some of its restrooms have limitations in wheelchair accessibility that reflect the building's existing configuration. We recognize that these limitations can create challenges for some participants.
Larger restrooms in our sanctuary can be made available when needed. If restroom accessibility is a concern for you or someone in your family, please contact us before attending so that we can help make appropriate arrangements.
Neurodiversity and Sensory Needs
Messy Church is experiential by nature. Our activities may involve movement, different textures, sounds, music, food, crowds, and other sensory experiences. We recognize that these experiences can affect participants differently, particularly people who are neurodivergent or have sensory sensitivities.
We want everyone to be able to participate in ways that work for them. Our large gathering space allows room for movement, and participants may need adaptations to fully participate in some activities.
We do not have a designated quiet or sensory room at this time. However, we are happy to work with families to identify accommodations that may help. For example, noise-dampening headphones or other adaptations may be available upon request.
Parents, guardians, caregivers, and participants are encouraged to contact us before an event to discuss individual needs. Advance communication helps our volunteers prepare and allows us to make reasonable arrangements whenever possible.
You do not need to hesitate to ask. We would rather hear from you and work together to find a way for someone to participate.
Service Animals
Service animals are welcome at Messy Church.
Meals and Dietary Needs
Sharing a meal around the table is an important part of Messy Church. We believe that everyone should be at the table, and we want to do everything we reasonably can to make our shared meals welcoming and inclusive.
We ask participants to register before each Messy Church gathering and to include any dietary restrictions or food allergies during registration. This gives our volunteers an opportunity to prepare food and alternatives as needed.
Because our meals are prepared by volunteers in a shared kitchen environment, we cannot guarantee that food will be free from cross-contamination or exposure to allergens. Individuals with severe or medically significant food allergies should contact us before attending so that we can discuss available options and determine how we can best support their participation safely.
Please do not assume that a particular food is safe for you or your child without speaking with us first.
